M.A.R.C.H.E. - Massive Hemorrhage
Esmark HD Bandages are flat, latex-free compression wraps that provide excellent control for bleeding on medium limbs, such as those of children, pets and most adult arms. They add versatility to your trauma kit by being effective back-up bleeding control tools, and effective pressure bandages when combined with gauze.
These bandages are similar to SWAT Tourniquets in material, except the material is the hospital grade, longer 6' version. The extra 1.5' of length over the SWAT-T allows responders, medics and operators to address bleeding on larger limbs or dress abdominal injuries, junctions and other large areas. When used to control blood flow, the additional length allows for added compression, while still retaining a wide area for pressure reduction against the surface tissue.
